Sushi

Sushi is the most famous Japanese dish in Japan. In Japanese people, sushi is usually enjoyed on special occasions, such as a celebration. Sushi is prepared vinegar rice with some sugar and salt, accompanying a variety of ingredients. Sushi is very often prepared with seafood, such as squid, eel, yellowtail, salmon, tuna, etc. Nowadays, you can eat Sushi everywhere, but we recommend you to try specialty of Sushi restaurants, it is call “Sushi-ya”.  

Tempura

Tempura is pieces of seafood and Vegetables. (Some restaurants have meat) that have been battered and deep fried. These are most popular for Tempura. That is Ebi (Shrimp)– Tempura, Nasu (Eggplant) – Tempura and Kakiage – Tempura (That is a type of tempura patty made out of a variety of julienned vegetables and seafood.) Usually, Izakata severed Tempura but we have specialty tempura restaurants. Its call “Tempura-Ya”. If you want to eat the best Tempura we recommend to go Tempura-ya.  

Sukiyaki

Sukiyaki is a Japanese dish that is prepared and served in the Japanese hot pot style. Sukiyaki is consists of meat which is slowly cooked or simmered at the table, alongside vegetables and other ingredients, in a shallow iron pot in a mixture of soy sauce, sugar and mirin.

Soba

Soba is Japanese thin noodles made from buckwheat flour. Soba is just boiling the cooking method. After cooked Soba we call Zaru soba, Mori soba and Seiro soba. These are almost same.

 

Ramen

Ramen is a noodle soup dish that was originally from China and it has become popular dishes in Japan. Ramen soup is in a meat or fish – based broth with soy sauce. Ramen noodles are made of wheat. Typically, Ramen noodle are long and elastic, but countless varieties exist that vary from thin and straight to thick and wavy. You can eat Ramen everywhere in Japan but we recommend you to try specialty of Ramen restaurant, its call “Ramen-ya”.

Yakitori

Yakitori is one of most popular Japanese food in Japan. Yakitori is grilled chicken skewers made from bite sized pieces of meat from all different parts of the chicken, such as the breasts, things, skin, liver and other innards. Usually Izakaya served Yakitori. But we have Yakitori specialty store that is only serve Yakitori, its call “Yakitori-ya”. Yakitori is one of inexpensive dish, so it’s very commonly enjoyed together with beer.

Tonkatsu

Tonkatsu is thick slices of pork that are braded and deep fried. Tonkatsu is usually made from two cuts of pork that’s are fillet and loin. Tonkatsu are usually served as a set meal with shredded cabbage, rice, miso soup and pickles. You can eat Tonkatsu all over Japan but we recommend “Tonkatsu-ya” that is specialty of Tonkatsu restaurant.

Okonomiyaki

Okonomiyaki is pan-fried dish that consists of batter and cabbage. The meaning of Okonomiyaki that is “Okonomi” literally means “to one’s liking”. You can eat Okonomiyaki all over Japan, but we recommend you to try in the cities of Hiroshima and Osaka. In Japan, usually you can try to make Okonomiyaki by yourself in the restaurant. This is one of best experience for food in Japan but if you do not know how to make Okonomiyaki, employee support to you.
